Dr. Yahia Abdul-Rahman is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of the LARIBA Banking Group.r
With extensive experience in investment banking and finance, he has managed a portfolio of
over 250mm and pioneered the first ever, Riba-Free Stock Investment Guidelines. Dr. Abdul-
Rahman was an invited speaker at major International Islamic Finance Forums at Harvard
University, Oxford University, London School of Economics, and Cambridge University, and in
Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Germany and
the United States.

For over 14 years, Dr. Abdul-Rahman has worked in Oil and Gas. Leading the Atlantic
Richfield Co. Research and Engineering completing 8 patents, supporting project management,
finance, strategic planning and investing.
Dr. Abdul-Rahman is the author of two books, Author of two books on Interfaith-Based: “The
Art of RF (Riba Free) Islamic Banking and Finance” and “LARIBA BANK - Islamic Banking,
Foundation for a United and Prosperous Community”

Dr. Abdul-Rahmnan has dedicated his life to service and has helped in founding many Muslim
community centers and schools in the USA and Canada since 1968.
Dr. Abdul-Rahman has a MA in International Management & Finance, a Ph.D. in Chemical
Engineering, speaks 3 languages and was trained in Qur’aan under His Eminence the late Sheikh
Muhammad Barakat, Al-Azhar University. Dr. Abdul-Rahman enjoys Writing, Reading,
Researching and Lecturing about the History of Faiths and Nations, Walking, Hiking and
Swimming and is interested in building Institutions and organizations both in business and
community affairs.
